This week, our school has been buzzing with excitement as we celebrated British Science Week! From hands-on experiments to thought-provoking discussions, pupils across all year groups have been embracing their inner scientists, exploring this year’s theme of Innovation and Exploration.
A highlight of the week was our assembly, where our Year 6 leaders shared the school's fantastic work with their peers. Their enthusiasm and knowledge helped to showcase how science is all around us - whether in nature, technology, or the mysteries of space!
Throughout the week, pupils engaged in a variety of STEM-based activities, including:
🔬 Exciting experiments testing hypotheses and making discoveries
🌍 Real-world science investigations exploring sustainability and the environment
💡 Big scientific questions encouraging curiosity and problem-solving
👩🔬 Inspirational discussions about careers in science and the impact of innovation
We ended the week in style with a Science Fair, where pupils proudly presented their home-made experiments to the school. From fizzing reactions to creative inventions, it was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and scientific thinking in action.
It has been a brilliant week full of curiosity, collaboration, and discovery, inspiring the next generation of innovators. A huge well done to all our pupils for their engagement and excitement! 👏
