Walking Together for a Good Cause – The Good Shepherd Walk
On our last day of term, our whole school took part in a wonderful event – the Good Shepherd Walk – in support of Bishop Marcus’ Good Shepherd Appeal for Catholic Care. 🚶♀️🐑🌿
With joyful hearts and determined steps, the children walked approximately 1.5 miles to Killinghall Moor Park, where they joined together in singing, chatting, and building friendships across year groups. It was heartwarming to see the children encouraging one another, sharing stories, and deepening their connections as a school family.
The route included a steady climb, but spirits remained high throughout! With every step, the children showed fantastic perseverance, positivity, and care for one another. Their behaviour, kindness, and energy made them a true credit to our school.
The funds raised from this walk go directly towards supporting Catholic Care, a charity that works across our Diocese to care for those who need connection, support, and love. From young people to the elderly, families in crisis to those living alone, Catholic Care’s mission is to bring hope and healing where it’s needed most.
We are proud to support this cause during Lent, as we encourage our children to live out their faith through action, generosity and compassion.
Thank you to everyone who sponsored and supported this event – together, we are making a difference.
